Group velocity control in multiple-beam and Mach-Zehnder interferometers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate the existence of abnormal pulse propagation regimes in linear and passive multiple-beam======interferometers, where the group velocity can be tuned from subluminal to superluminant values by simply changing the length of one of the interferometer's arms.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The International Day of Light in Spain: A three years perspective

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the activities in Spain related to the celebration of the International Day of Light (IDL), and review the IDL impact in Spain in these last three years.
Journal ArticleDOI

Time-multiplexed chromatic-controlled axial diffractive optical elements

TL;DR: In this paper, a programmable diffractive optical elements (DOEs) with axial response was used to display a ferroelectric liquid crystal on silicon display with polychromatic illumination and with a specific polarization configuration that provided binary phase modulation for all wave lengths.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Modulation diffraction efficiency of spatial light modulators

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the efficiency of phase diffractive elements displayed onto spatial light modulators as a function of the device modulation is presented, and uses and strategies to compensate for the efficiency reduction in the presence of modulation defects like coupled amplitude modulation or non ideal phase modulation are discussed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Influence of the incident angle in the performance of LCoS displays

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the angle of incidence on the degree of polarization of the reflected beam was analyzed for the LCoS display with different angles of incidence, and a comparison between the obtained results is presented in this paper.
