Non-ionic surfactant based vesicles (niosomes) in drug delivery

TL;DR: A summary of the achievements in the field to date of non-ionic surfactant vesicles (niosomes) as immunological adjuvants, anti-cancer/anti-infective drug targeting agents and carriers of anti-inflammatory drugs is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dendrimers in gene delivery.

TL;DR: A review of the role of dendrimers in those aspects of synthetic vector development is presented in this article, where the authors focus on the current understanding of the current role of Dendrimer-based transfection agents.

Dendrimers in gene delivery.

TL;DR: Dendrimer-based transfection agents have become routine tools for many molecular and cell biologists but therapeutic delivery of nucleic acids remains a challenge.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gene delivery with synthetic (non viral) carriers.

TL;DR: The clinical use of non-viral gene delivery systems in cystic fibrosis or cancer has involved their direct application to the site of pathology due to the targeting difficulties experienced, it is hoped that the next generation of carriers will incorporate mechanisms to overcome barriers thus improving the efficacy of such materials.
