Long COVID 19 Syndrome: Is It Related to Microcirculation and Endothelial Dysfunction? Insights From TUN-EndCOV Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the evaluation of endothelial quality index (EQI) by finger thermal monitoring with E4 diagnosis Polymath in a large cohort of long COVID-19 patients to determine whether long-covid 19 symptoms are associated to endothelial dysfunction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Predictive echocardiographic factors of severe obstructive sleep apnea.

TL;DR: A significant association was shown between severity of OSA and left ventricular (LV) diastolic dysfunction, right ventricular internal diameter (RVID) and systolic pulmonary artery pressure (sPAP), with p=0.05 and p= 0.03 respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of right ventricular remodeling and dysfunction in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome: a prospective monocentric study.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of obstructive sleep apnea and its severity on the right ventricular (RV) structure and function using conventional echocardiography has been investigated and shown that OSA was independently associated with structural alterations of RV early in the disease course, suggesting that the reversibility of these deleterious effects requires earlier detection and initiation of treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Case Report: Spontaneous simultaneous coronary and carotid dissection in a young cannabis user.

TL;DR: The case of a cannabis smoker presenting to the emergency room for an ischemic stroke associated with an acute coronary syndrome related to a spontaneous simultaneous double dissection of the carotid artery and the left anterior descending artery shows the seriousness of complications due to the cannabis consumption, hence the need to limit or even prohibit its consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolated left pulmonary artery hypoplasia.

TL;DR: A 56-year-old patient who had been referred for dyspnea with cough was diagnosed with hypoplasia of the left pulmonary artery without associated cardiac malformations, which allows the close follow-up of these patient and the planning of an adequate management.
