Monte carlo model and output factors of elekta infinity™ 6 and 10 MV photon beam.

TL;DR: The Elekta Infinity™ working in 6 and 10 MV photon beam installed in Concord International Hospital, Singapore, and compare the OFs between MC simulation and measurement using PTW semiflex and microDiamond detector for small field sizes is commissioned.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of Neutron Contamination of Flattening Filter and Flattening Filter-Free 10-MV Photon Beams in Elekta InfinityTM Accelerator

TL;DR: The neutrons produced from the head Linac were the result of photoneutron interactions of high-energy photons with molybdenum-96 and tungsten-184 isotopes, and a larger quantity of neutrons was produced in the FF beam.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of efficiency in five-field and field-by-field intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plan using DOSXYZnrc Monte Carlo code.

TL;DR: This study aimed to compare the simulation efficiency and isodose dose distribution in a water phantom from various beam angles and multileaf collimator (MLC) positions in an IMRT plan using source 20 and found the step and shoot technique was more efficient than the dynamic simulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monte Carlo Simulation of particle production in target material linac 15, 18, and 20 MV photon beam

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the spectrum characteristic of target material for some linacs using Monte Carlo codes, and the results showed that the spectrum of photon and electron from PHITS and EGSnrc have the same trend with a deviation of more than 25%.
