Territorial capital and growth over the Great Recession: a local analysis for Italy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on the role of different territorial indicators by looking at how their relevance has changed during the recent crisis at provincial level, identifying the strategic territorial elements which might be particularly relevant in ensuring a greater local absorption capacity.
Book ChapterDOI

Non-Dyadic Wavelet Analysis

TL;DR: A non-dyadic mixed-radix wavelet analysis which allows the wave bands to be defined more flexibly than in the case of a conventional dyadic analysis is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Volatility co-movements: a time scale decomposition analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, a factor decomposition of the covariance matrix, in the time and frequency domain, using wavelets, was used to detect contagion from US to European stock market volatilities in the period immediately after the Lehman Brothers collapse.
Journal ArticleDOI

A wavelet analysis of US fiscal sustainability

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between primary deficit and lagged debt to GDP ratio was reassessed to test for US debt sustainability over the period 1795-2012. And they found evidence of long term fiscal sustainability but only up until 1995 and also showed that governments tend to respond more vigorously to budget deficits when the level of debt is high rather than low.
Journal ArticleDOI

Territorial determinants and NUTS 3 regional performance: A spatial analysis for Italy across the crisis

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the differential impact of several territorial determinants of the economic performance of Italian provinces (NUTS 3 level) as measured by per capita GDP, export and employment growth from 1999 to 2014.
