Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of oil-based formulations of acaripathogenic fungi to control Rhipicephalus microplus ticks under laboratory conditions

TL;DR: Oil-based formulations of Metarhizium anisopliae sensu lato were more effective than aqueous suspensions against R. microplus eggs, larvae and engorged females, however, there was no significant difference between the three oil concentrations used.
Journal ArticleDOI

An intensive search for promising fungal biological control agents of ticks, particularly Rhipicephalus microplus.

TL;DR: R. microplus larvae obtained from artificially infested calves were less susceptible to Beauveria bassiana infection than ticks acquired from naturally infested cattle from a different location.
Journal ArticleDOI

Susceptibility of different populations of ticks to entomopathogenic fungi.

TL;DR: The results suggest that populations of R. microplus show distinct variation in their susceptibility to B. bassiana s.l. and M. anisopliae s.
