Heterozygote excess in a self-incompatible and partially clonal forest tree species -- Prunus avium L.
Solenn Stoeckel,Jérôme Grange,Juan F. Fernández-Manjarrés,Isabelle Bilger,Nathalie Frascaria-Lacoste,Stéphanie Mariette,Stéphanie Mariette +6 more
TL;DR: The results revealed that clonality probably explains significant negative FIS in wild cherry populations when considering all individuals, and more theoretical effort is needed to develop expectations and hypotheses, and test them in the case of species combining self‐incompatibility and partially asexual reproduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Soil Texture Explains Soil Sensitivity to C and N Losses from Whole-Tree Harvesting in the Boreal Forest
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors revisited forest plots that were subjected to either whole-tree (WTH, n = 86) or stem-only harvesting 30 years ago in the boreal forest in Quebec, Canada.
