Journal ArticleDOI
Radiopacity of portland cement associated with different radiopacifying agents.
Marco Antonio Hungaro Duarte,Guâniara D'arc de Oliveira El Kadre,Rodrigo Ricci Vivan,Juliane Maria Guerreiro Tanomaru,Mário Tanomaru Filho,Ivaldo Gomes de Moraes +5 more
TL;DR: The possible interference of the radiopacifiers with the setting chemistry, biocompatibility, and physical properties of the Portland cement should be further investigated before any clinical recommendation can be done.
Journal ArticleDOI
Use of cone-beam volumetric tomography in the diagnosis of root fractures
Ricardo Affonso Bernardes,Ivaldo Gomes de Moraes,Marco Antonio Hungaro Duarte,B. Azevedo,José Ribamar de Azevedo,Clóvis Monteiro Bramante +5 more
TL;DR: It could be concluded that cone-beam volumetric tomography was better than conventional radiography in the diagnosis of root fractures, thereby constituting an excellent alternative for diagnosis in general practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sealing ability of MTA and radiopaque portland cement with or without calcium chloride for root-end filling
Eduardo Antunes Bortoluzzi,Norberto Juárez Broon,Clóvis Monteiro Bramante,Roberto Brandão Garcia,Ivaldo Gomes de Moraes,Norberti Bernardineli +5 more
TL;DR: Evaluating the influence of calcium chloride on the sealing ability of three Mineral Trioxide Aggregate cements, ProRoot MTA, MTA-Angelus, and radiopaque White Portland cement, for retrograde root filling found CaCl(2) improved the sealed ability of all three MTA cements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Depth and percentage of penetration of endodontic sealers into dentinal tubules after root canal obturation using a lateral compaction technique: A confocal laser scanning microscopy study
Ronald Ordinola-Zapata,Clóvis Monteiro Bramante,Márcia Sirlene Zardin Graeff,Aldo del Carpio Perochena,Rodrigo Ricci Vivan,Ericson Janólio de Camargo,Roberto Brandão Garcia,Norberti Bernardineli,James L. Gutmann,Ivaldo Gomes de Moraes +9 more
TL;DR: Although Sealapex displayed deeper penetration into the dentinal tubules there was no difference in the percentage of adaptation to the root canal walls among the 3 sealers evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Micro-computed tomography study of the internal anatomy of mesial root canals of mandibular molars.
M. H. Villas-Bôas,Norberti Bernardineli,Bruno Cavalini Cavenago,Marina Angélica Marciano,Aldo del Carpio-Perochena,Ivaldo Gomes de Moraes,Marco Antonio Hungaro Duarte,Clóvis Monteiro Bramante,Ronald Ordinola-Zapata +8 more
TL;DR: Mesial root canals of mandibular molars do not present a consistent pattern and a high variability of apical diameters exists.
