Journal ArticleDOI
Rearrangements of organic peroxides and related processes
TL;DR: This review is the first to collate and summarize main data on named and unnamed rearrangement reactions of peroxides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of antischistosomal leads by evaluating bridged 1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes, alphaperoxides, and tricyclic monoperoxides.
Katrin Ingram,Katrin Ingram,Ivan A. Yaremenko,Igor B. Krylov,Lorenz Hofer,Lorenz Hofer,Alexander O. Terent'ev,Jennifer Keiser,Jennifer Keiser +8 more
TL;DR: The results might serve as starting point for the preparation and evaluation of related derivatives of peroxides belonging to bridged 1,2,4,5-tetraoxanes, alphaperoxides, and tricyclic monoperoxides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereoelectronic power of oxygen in control of chemical reactivity: the anomeric effect is not alone
Igor V. Alabugin,Leah Kuhn,Michael G. Medvedev,Michael G. Medvedev,Nikolai V. Krivoshchapov,Nikolai V. Krivoshchapov,Vera A. Vil,Ivan A. Yaremenko,Patricia Mehaffy,Meysam Yarie,Alexander O. Terent'ev,Mohammad Ali Zolfigol +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the fundamental connections between the anomeric effect and a broad variety of O-functional groups and highlight the vast implications of AE for the structure and reactivity of organic O-functionalities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Peroxides with Anthelmintic, Antiprotozoal, Fungicidal and Antiviral Bioactivity: Properties, Synthesis and Reactions.
Vera A. Vil,Ivan A. Yaremenko,Ivan A. Yaremenko,Alexey I. Ilovaisky,Alexander O. Terent'ev,Alexander O. Terent'ev,Alexander O. Terent'ev +6 more
TL;DR: The present review deals with natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic peroxides exhibiting anthelmintic, antiprotozoal, fungicidal, antiviral and other activities that have not been described in detail earlier.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of asymmetric peroxides: transition metal (Cu, Fe, Mn, Co) catalyzed peroxidation of beta-dicarbonyl compounds with tert-butyl hydroperoxide.
Alexander O. Terent'ev,Dmitry A. Borisov,Ivan A. Yaremenko,Vladimir V. Chernyshev,Gennady I. Nikishin +4 more
TL;DR: The transition metal catalyzed peroxidation of beta-dicarbonyl compounds at the alpha position by tert-butyl hydroperoxide was discovered and a selective, experimentally convenient, and gram-scale method was developed for the synthesis of alpha-peroxidated derivatives ofbeta-diketones, beta-keto esters, and diethyl malonate.
