Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of PM1 and PM2.5 on lung function parameters in healthy schoolchildren-a panel study.
TL;DR: Small differences in effects estimates per interquartile range (IQR) of PM1 and PM2.5 imply that PM1 was likely the component of PM2,5 that might have a principal health effect on these lung function parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Infiltration or indoor sources as determinants of the elemental composition of particulate matter inside a school in Wrocław, Poland?
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the elemental composition of particulate matter (PM 1, PM 2.5, PM 10 ) in the school and also investigated to what degree indoor elemental concentrations are affected by outdoor air or generated inside the school.
Journal ArticleDOI
Implications of the aerosol size distribution modal structure of trace and major elements on human exposure, inhaled dose and relevance to the PM2.5 and PM10 metrics in a European pollution hotspot urban area
Anna Zwozdziak,Maria I. Gini,Lucyna Samek,Wioletta Rogula-Kozłowska,Izabela Sówka,Konstantinos Eleftheriadis +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the size distributions of atmospheric aerosol mass and several major and trace elements were studied in an urban area in South Poland by means of the thirteen stages Dekati low pressure impactor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Greenhouse gas emission accounting at urban level: A case study of the city of Wroclaw (Poland)
Izabela Sówka,Yaroslav Bezyk +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the building process of a GHG emissions inventory, which would likely enable more strongly cities to manage their efforts and set realistic targets for emission reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Particulate Matter Concentration Variability and Origin in Selected Urban Areas in Poland
Izabela Sówka,Anna Chlebowska-Styś,Łukasz Pachurka,Wioletta Rogula-Kozłowska,Barbara Mathews +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of research and analyses related to measurements of concentration and chemical composition of three size fractions of particulate matter (PM), PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.0 were presented.
