A study of second-order interference for pions produced in various hadronic interactions
M. Deutschmann,P. Kostka,R. Nahnhauer,K. Böckmann,V. T. Cocconi,D. R. O. Morrison,J. Bartke,T. Coghen,Jan Figiel,P. Stopa,K. J. W. Barnham,B. Pollock,B. Buschbeck,M. Markytan,A. Para,A.K. Wróblewski +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the second-order interference of pion pairs of equal charge is observed in good statistics samples of 16 GeV/c π+p and K−p interactions (2 × 106 and 106 pion pair combinations, respectively) and in a smaller sample of p p annihilations at rest.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of ρ0 and f in π−p interactions at 16 GeV/c and separation into fragmentation and central components
J. Bartke,H. Kirk,P. Sixel,H. Nowak,Maggie C. Walter,K. Böckmann,J. Lowsky,R. Roedel,G. Zobernig,V.T. Cocconi,M. J. Counihan,G. Kellner,P. K. Malhotra,D. R. O. Morrison,H. Saarikko,E. Leitner,J. Stiewe,T. Coghen,A. Guła,H. Abramowicz,A. Zieminski +20 more
TL;DR: In this article, the production of ρ0(770) and f(1270) in π−p interactions at 16 GeV/c was studied and it was found that the data can be interpreted in terms of two production processes: the central production of resonances and the fragmentation of the beam particle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simplicity of “transverse energy” spectra of hadrons
J. Bartke,M. Deutschmann,H. Kirk,P. Sixel,H. H. Kaufmann,Matthias Klein,K. Böckmann,R. Hartmann,D. J. Kocher,P. K. Malhotra,D. R. O. Morrison,P. Porth,F. A. Triantis,J. Zaorska,W. Zielinski,Jan Krolikowski +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used data from a 16 GeV/c π+p bubble chamber experiment to study the production of pions and meson resonances in the central region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Eta and omega meson production in medium energy π+-p and K−p interactions
J. Bartke,H. Kirk,J. Kaltwasser,J. Klabuhn,K. Böckmann,G. Zobernig,H. Bohr,M. J. Counihan,P. K. Malhotra,D. R. O. Morrison,H. Saarikko,K. Śliwa,T. C. Bacon,P. J. Dornan,F. Mandl,M. Markytan,M. Bardadin-Otwinowska,A.K. Wróblewski +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the production of η(550) and ω(780) mesons is studied in π±p interactions at 16 GeV/c and K−p interaction at 10 and 16 Gev/c.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pomeron dominance in a triple-Regge representation of inclusive Δ++ production in K−p and π−p reactions
P. Bosetti,H. Kirk,M. Matziolis,H. Nowak,H. J. Schreiber,K. Böckmann,R. Hartmann,J. Bartke,M. J. Counihan,S. Humble,D. R. O. Morrison,Ryszard Stroynowski,H. D. Wahl,T. Hirose,J. Stiewe,A. A. Azooz,T. C. Bacon,Keith W. J. Barnham,T. W. Dombeck,P. J. Dornan,B. Pollock,P. R. Thornton,M. Markytan,P. Porth,Maciej Górski +24 more
TL;DR: In this article, the scaling of the K−p reaction at the same energy as the π−p and π+p reaction is investigated. But the scaling occurs at relatively low values of M in marked contrast to the reaction π +p → Δ++ + anything.
