The Multiturn Charge Exchange Injection System for the Fermilab Booster Accelerator
Carlos Hojvat,Charles M. Ankenbrandt,B.C. Brown,D. F. Cosgrove,J. Garvey,R. P. Johnson,M. Joy,J. Lackey,K. Meisner,T. Schmitz,L. Teng,R. C. Webber +11 more
TL;DR: The Fermilab Booster has operated with H-multiturn charge exchange injection since 1978 as mentioned in this paper, and a record number of protons per Booster cycle has been injected and accelerated to 8 GeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Report on the Production Magnet Measurement System for the Fermilab Energy Saver Superconducting Dipoles and Quadrupoles
B. C. Brown,W. E. Cooper,J. Garvey,D. A. Gross,R.W. Hanft,K. P. Kaczar,J.E. Pachnik,C. W. Schmidt,E. E. Schmidt,F. Turkot +9 more
TL;DR: The measurement system and procedures used to test more than 900 superconducting dipole magnets and more than 275 superconducted quadrupole magnets for the Fermilab Energy Saver are described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design of an Additional Extraction/Injection Area for the Fermilab Booster
TL;DR: In this paper, a new extraction area has been designed and a tunnel to the main ring constructed (see figure 1), this transfer line to the Main Ring uses only small bends to accept (normal) counter-clockwise circulating Booster beam and create counterclockwise Main Ring beam.
Journal ArticleDOI
Status of Efforts to Improve the Transverse Properties of the Fermilab Booster
TL;DR: In this article, the aperture limitations of the Fermilab Booster have been investigated and compared with the original beamforming and beamforming design of the Booster and the results indicate that the aperture is limited.
