Experimental thermodynamic evaluation for a single stage heat transformer prototype build with commercial PHEs

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental single stage heat transformer (SSHT) with water/carrol mixture was analyzed. But the performance of the SSHT was not evaluated. But four test runs were carried out in order to evaluate the performance and the heat powers were measured from 0.99 to 1.35.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance of Different Experimental Absorber Designs in Absorption Heat Pump Cycle Technologies: A Review

TL;DR: A review of the main experimental results of different absorber designs reported in absorption heat pump cycles is presented in this article, where the authors also present a comparison of the performance of different designs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental assessment of a hydrophobic membrane-based desorber/condenser with H2O/LiBr mixture for absorption systems

TL;DR: In this article, a desorber/condenser was tested and modelled, using the Air Gap Membrane Distillation (AGMD) process, operating at atmospheric pressure conditions, with water/lithium bromide mixture for absorption system applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of the thermodynamic effectiveness of a plate heat exchanger integrated into an experimental single stage heat transformer operating with Water/Carrol mixture

TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of a plate heat exchanger (PHE) used as an economizer integrated into an experimental Single Stage Heat Transformer (SSHT) is analyzed. And the effect of the economizer effect on the overall heat transfer coefficient and individual convective heat transfer coefficients (h) is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental assessment of an absorption heat transformer prototype at different temperature levels into generator and into evaporator operating with water/Carrol mixture

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental AHT prototype operated with four temperature levels and two pressure levels was analyzed and the experimental gross temperature lift ( GTL) was 180, 174 and 165°C and the dimensionless values of Coefficient of Performance ( COP ) calculated for those operating conditions were 026, 032 and 035.
