Journal ArticleDOI
Nanoscale Morphology of High-Performance Polymer Solar Cells
Xiaoniu Yang,J Joachim Loos,Sjoerd Veenstra,Wiljan Verhees,MM Martijn Wienk,Jan M. Kroon,Matthias A. J. Michels,René A. J. Janssen +7 more
TL;DR: Both the improved crystalline nature of films and increased but controlled demixing between the two constitutes therein after annealing explains the considerable increase of the power conversion efficiency observed in these devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Compositional and Electric Field Dependence of the Dissociation of Charge Transfer Excitons in Alternating Polyfluorene Copolymer/Fullerene Blends
Dirk Veldman,Özlem Ipek,Stefan C. J. Meskers,Jörgen Sweelssen,Marc M. Koetse,Sjoerd Veenstra,Jan M. Kroon,SS Svetlana van Bavel,J Joachim Loos,René A. J. Janssen +9 more
TL;DR: The electro-optical properties of thin films of electron donor-acceptor blends of a fluorene copolymer and a fullerene derivative were studied and it is shown that in these films nanocrystalline PCBM clusters are formed at high PCBM content.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photovoltaic properties of a conjugated polymer blend of MDMO-PPV and PCNEPV
Sjoerd Veenstra,Wiljan Verhees,JM Kroon,Marc M. Koetse,Jörgen Sweelssen,Jjam Jolanda Bastiaansen,H. F. M. Schoo,Xiaoniu Yang,Alexander Alexeev,J Joachim Loos,Ulrich S. Schubert,MM Martijn Wienk +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photovoltaic properties of solution-processed semiconducting polymer blends have been studied and it is demonstrated that photoinduced charge transfer occurs in binary mixtures of poly[2-methoxy-5-(3, 7-dimethyl octyloxy)-1, 4-phenylenevinylene] (MDMO-PPV) and poly-[oxa-1,4-,1,phenylene-(1-cyano-1-2-vinylene)-(2-nylon)-1.4-,phenylene)-1
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Influence of the polymer architecture on morphology and device properties of polymer bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cells
Marc M. Koetse,Jörgen Sweelssen,T Franse,Sjoerd Veenstra,Johannes Martinus Kroon,Xiaoniu Yang,Alexander Alexeev,J Joachim Loos,Ulrich S. Schubert,H. F. M. Schoo +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used poly(2-methoxy-5-(3,7-dimethyl octyloxy)-1,4-phenylene-vinylene) (MDMO-PPV) as donor and poly(cyanoetherphenylenevinylene), (PCNEPV) derivatives as acceptor material.
