Kinetics and mechanism of the water-gas shift reaction catalysed by the clean and Cs-promoted Cu(110) surface: a comparison with Cu(111)

TL;DR: In this article, the structural sensitivity of the water-gas shift (WGS) reaction (CO + H2O → H2+ CO2) over metallic copper is addressed by comparing its kinetics over the atomically clean Cu(110) surface with prior results for Cu(111).
Journal ArticleDOI

The dissociative adsorption of H2 and D2 on Cu(110): activation barriers and dynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the true Arrhenius activation energy for dissociative adsorption of H 2 on Cu(110) surface and found 14.3 ± 1.4 kcal/mol with a pre-exponential factor of 10 0.03± 0.16 per H 2 collision with the surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cu films on a Zn-terminated ZnO(0001) surface: structure and electronic properties

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and electronic properties of ultrathin, vapor-deposited Cu films on a Zn-terminated ZnO(0001)-Zn surface have been studied with low-energy ion scattering spectroscopy (ISS), X-ray photoelectron spectrography (XPS) and XPD, low energy electron diffraction (LEED), work function and band bending measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probing ensemble effects in surface reactions. 1. Site-size requirements for the dehydrogenation of cyclic hydrocarbons on platinum(111) revealed by bismuth site blocking

TL;DR: In this article, un modele cinetique est proposed for expliquer la dissociation des especes adsorbees sur les catalyseurs ou les sites acides.
