Determination of salicylic acid and two metabolites in plasma and urine using fluorimetry for directly measuring salicyluric acid.

TL;DR: An improved method has been developed for the measurement of salicylic acid and salicyluric acid in blood plasma and for these two substances and Salicyl glycuronates in urine and a higher value than previously reported has been found.
Journal ArticleDOI

Renal clearance in patients with myxedema.

TL;DR: The data of Beaumont and Robertson indicate that urea clearance is depressed in myxedema, but that no change occurs in the concentrating ability of the kidneys.
Journal ArticleDOI

The use of tetraethylammonium chloride in the treatment of patients with peptic ulcer.

TL;DR: Twelve patients with active duodenal ulcer who were having pain while being treated by diet, bed rest, sedation, and antispasmodics were given TEAC intramuscularly in doses up to 600 mg, suggesting the relief of pain by the drug may be due to an alteration in the response of the circulation of the gastric mucosa.
