Reinforcement with graphene nanosheets in aluminum matrix composites

TL;DR: In this article, aluminum composites reinforced with graphene nanosheets (GNSs) were fabricated for the first time through a feasible methodology based on flake powder metallurgy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure refinement of cast TiAl alloys by β solidification

TL;DR: In this article, β solidification was used to obtain fine-grained cast microstructures of TiAl alloys, which can then be optimized to be fine grained fully lamellar structures by a one-step heat treatment.

Preparation method of graphene reinforced metal-matrix composite

TL;DR: In this article, a preparation method of a graphene reinforced metal-matrix composite, which comprises the following steps of: firstly, dispersing the graphene oxide on the surface of the flaky metal powder; and then obtaining the graphene/metal composite powder through the reducing treatment; and at last, carrying out densification treatment by adopting a powder metallurgic technology to obtain the compact graphene this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Refining of coarse lamellar microstructure of TiAl alloys by rapid heat treatment

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that a fully lamellar (FL) structure with d=500 μm in a TiAl alloy of Ti-48Al-2Cr (at%) could be refined to a FL with d being as fine as 10 μm.

Graphene and carbon nanotube mixed enhanced metal-matrix composite material and preparation method thereof

TL;DR: In this article, a graphite and carbon nanotube mixed enhanced metal-matrix composite material is characterized in that a few-layer graphene with 10 layers or less, the radius-thickness ratio of the graphene is larger than 200, and the volume fraction of the carbon is 0.5-5%.
