Journal ArticleDOI
Preoperative histological classification of primary lung cancer: accuracy of diagnosis and use of the non-small cell category.
TL;DR: By adhering strictly to criteria, a high accuracy of diagnosis can be achieved for squamous carcinoma, but the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma seems to be more of a challenge.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immune cell infiltrates and prognosis in primary carcinoma of the lung.
Senga K Johnson,Keith M. Kerr,Andrea D. Chapman,Margaret M Kennedy,G King,J S Cockburn,Robert R. Jeffrey +6 more
TL;DR: In lung cancer, subjective assessment of tumour lymphoid infiltration and overall levels of infiltration by particular immune cell types carries no prognostic significance and intratumoural infiltration by high levels of CD3+ and S100+ cells was associated with longer post-operative survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Primary pulmonary osteosarcoma: case report and molecular analysis.
Andrea D. Chapman,Stuart C. Pritchard,Wan Wan Yap,Patrick H. Rooney,J S Cockburn,A. W. Hutcheon,Marianne Nicolson,Keith M. Kerr,Howard L. McLeod +8 more
TL;DR: A newly diagnosed patient is diagnosed with primary pulmonary osteosarcoma and investigations that were performed using immunohistochemistry and comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammatory endobronchial polyposis with bronchiectasis in cystic fibrosis.
TL;DR: This is the first report of multiple endobronchial polyposis and may represent a rare complication of bronchiectasis in a patient with cystic fibrosis, and on-going infection and the cellular composition of the polyps are discussed in relation to their possible aetiological relevance and relationship to upper respiratory tract polyps.
