Unusual acetylenic sex pheromone of grape leaffolder (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae).

TL;DR: The female-produced sex pheromone of grape leaffolder, Desmia funeralis (Hübner), has been identified as a blend of (Z,Z)-11,13- hexadecadienal, 11-hexadecynal, and (Z-11-hexADEcenal, which increased trap catches approximately twofold when added in appropriate doses to the optimum blend of the other two components.

Identification of the sex pheromone of the western poplar clearwing moth (Lepidoptera: Sesiidae)

TL;DR: The sex attractant pheromone for western poplar clearwing, Paranthrene robiniae (Hy. Edwards), was identified by field trapping, gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy, and electroantennography to be approximately a 4:1 ratio of ( E,Z):(Z,Z)-3, 13-octadecadienyl alcohols.
