Journal ArticleDOI

Rheological properties of wood polymer composites at high shear rates

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the rheological properties of wood-polymer composites with a polypropylene (PP) matrix in the corrected shear rate range from approx. 20 s − 1 to 150 s −1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of industrial wood particle size on mechanical properties of wood-polyvinyl chloride composites

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of particle size and cross-section size on the tensile and flexural properties of wood-polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composites was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of wood particle size on mechanical properties of industrial wood particle-polyethylene composites

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of particle size (sieve analysis 0.25-0.5, 0.5-1, 1-2, and 2-4 mm) and of specimen cross-section size (40, 90 and 160 mm 2 ) on the mechanical properties was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Poly(vinyl chloride) Composites with Raspberry Pomace Filler.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of chemically extracted raspberry pomace on the thermal stability, mechanical properties, flammability, chemical structure and processing of poly(vinyl chloride) was examined, and it was observed that the pomaces in this study was used to extract naphtha, thereby permitting the removal of bio-oil as a factor preventing the obtaining of homogeneous composites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Porous product with reduced apparent density keeps good mechanical properties. Extruded composites of poly(vinyl chloride) blown under microwave irradiation

TL;DR: In this article, a new foaming method, enhanced by microwave irradiation, was elaborated and applied to obtain porous poly(vinyl chloride) and its composites with fine cell structure.
