Journal ArticleDOI

A note on binary template matching

TL;DR: Some generalizations of binary template matching procedures which enable one to weight matches according to both statistical and spatial information are considered.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vertisol Carbonate Properties in Relation to Mean Annual Precipitation: Implications for Paleoprecipitation Estimates

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that carbonate in Vertisols (clay-rich, shrink-swell soils) responds differently to water flux than other soil orders because of lower permeability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of equine assisted activities on autism spectrum disorder.

TL;DR: The favorable outcome of this study lends support for continuation of programs utilizing EAA in the treatment of children with ASD.
Journal ArticleDOI

A note on parametric image enhancement

TL;DR: A modification of this procedure is suggested whereby the estimation of the parameters is performed using statistics which allow for efficient use of cellular or neighborhood image processors rather than those computed using the usual arithmetic operations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coherent changes in relative C4 plant productivity and climate during the late Quaternary in the North American Great Plains

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of the mixed and shortgrass prairie of the North American Great Plains is poorly understood because of limited proxies available for environmental interpretations, and buried soils in the Great Plains provide a solution to the problem because they are widespread both spatially and temporally with their organic reservoirs serving as a link to the plants than once grew on them.
