P Values for Composite Null Models

TL;DR: This paper proposes two alternatives for computing a p value, the conditional predictive p value and the partial posterior predictive pvalue, and indicates their advantages from both Bayesian and frequentist perspectives.

Statistical Analysis and the Illusion of Objectivity

TL;DR: It is argued that reaching sensible conclusions from statistical analysis of these data may require subjective input, and to acknowledge the subjectivity inherent in the interpretation of data is to recognize the central role of statistical analysis as a formal mechanism by which new knowledge can be integrated with exist ing knowledge.
Journal ArticleDOI

An exploration of aspects of Bayesian multiple testing

TL;DR: The issue of prior specification for such multiple tests; computation of key posterior quantities; and useful ways to display these quantities are studied.
