Determination of carrier density of ZnO nanowires by electrochemical techniques

TL;DR: In this article, the carrier density of ZnO nanowires has been determined by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and a model taking into account the geometry of the NN wires has been developed and the differences with the standard flat model, as curved Mott-Schottky plots, are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Chloride Ions on Electrochemical Deposition of ZnO Nanowire Arrays from O2 Reduction

TL;DR: In this article, the role of KCl on the electrodeposition of ZnO nanowire arrays from the reduction of oxygen in ZnCl2 solutions was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conversion of ZnO Nanowires into Nanotubes with Tailored Dimensions

TL;DR: In this article, an innovative route is presented to obtain arrays of single-crystal ZnO nanotubes with tailored dimensions, which are obtained by varying the conditions of nanowire array deposition and taking into account the dimensions of the nanowires to adjust the dissolution time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical deposition of ZnO nanowire arrays with tailored dimensions

TL;DR: In this paper, a study about the growth mechanism of ZnO nanowires electrodeposited from the reduction of dissolved molecular oxygen in zinc chloride solutions was reported, showing that the lateral growth took place only during the first growth stages.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrodeposition of ZnO nanowires with controlled dimensions for photovoltaic applications : Role of buffer layer

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of a buffer layer on the electrodeposition of ZnO nanowire arrays was analyzed, showing that the buffer layer can be used to increase nucleation sites.
