Labour productivity developments in the euro area

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a description and a discussion of some important aspects relating to recent productivity developments in the euro area, and suggest that, in order to support economic growth, emphasis should be given to both policy measures that directly address the determinants of productivity and, given the interactions among the various factors of growth, to policies that raise labour utilisation.

Loss of Correspondent Banking Relationships in the Caribbean

TL;DR: The macroeconomic impact has so far been limited, in part because banks either have multiple relationships or have been successful in replacing lost correspondent banking relationships as discussed by the authors, but the cost of services has increased substantially, some services have been cut back, and some sectors have experienced reduced access.

Cyclical Behaviour of Real Wages in the Euro Area and OECD Countries

TL;DR: For example, Messina et al. as discussed by the authors found that real wages in the euro area have been largely a-cyclical since the 1970s and that the largest euro area countries and most OECD countries have experienced a moderate procyclical real wage behaviour over this time period.
