On the sustainable perishable food supply chain network design:A dairy products case to achieve sustainable development goals

TL;DR: In this paper, a multi-objective mathematical programming model is developed to optimize the cost, energy consumption, and the traffic congestion associated with such supply chain operations, where product lifetime uncertainty is explicitly modeled as a Weibull random variable, and food perishability is assumed to be affected by vehicle refrigerator utilization, which is considered as a decision variable.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic dairy facility location and supply chain planning under traffic congestion and demand uncertainty: A case study of Tehran

TL;DR: The proposed model dynamically incorporates possible changes in transportation network, facility investment costs, monetary value of time and changes in production process to determine the optimal facility location and the optimal production volumes.

Fight against COVID-19: a global efficiency evaluation based on contagion control and medical treatment

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of most seriously affected countries regarding contagion control and medical treatment of COVID-19 is evaluated using data envelopment analysis, and the efficiency values are calculated based on the conditions of the countries and the number of confirmed cases in the first step in order to create a basis for analysis according to the contagion controlling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Applying simulated annealing to a generalized cell formation problem considering alternative routings and machine reliability

TL;DR: A modified version of simulated annealing algorithm is designed and numerical examples are provided to show that the proposed method is efficient and effective in solving cell formation problem.
Journal ArticleDOI

A game theory approach to selecting marketing-mix strategies

TL;DR: The findings of this study show that the optimal marketing-mix strategy for brand A is pricing and for brand B is the product strategy, and the Nash equilibrium model has been used to analyze the results.
