Journal ArticleDOI

General solution for flat-space longitudinal momentum

TL;DR: In this paper, the undressed extrinsic curvature of a general compact momentum source is presented in terms of multipole moment integrals, and the momentum constraint of the initial value problem of general relativity is addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inversion symmetric initial data for N charged black holes

TL;DR: In this article, the initial value equations for gravitational and electric fields on a multiply connected manifold are addressed, and a formal solution incorporating these conditions is given in terms of a simple geometric algorithm, and the method is applied to give explicit expressions for the background electric field of two oppositely charged bodies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Graphic displays of gravitational initial data

TL;DR: In this article, the use of perspective graphic displays that facilitate the understanding of numerical solutions is discussed, where successive overrelaxation is used to solve a boundary value problem for gravitational initial data describing a moving black hole.
