Journal ArticleDOI
The anti-diabetic drug dapagliflozin induces vasodilation via activation of PKG and Kv channels.
Hongliang Li,Sung Eun Shin,Mi Seon Seo,Jin Ryeol An,Il-Whan Choi,Won-Kyo Jung,Amy L. Firth,Dae Sung Lee,Mi-Jin Yim,Grace Choi,Jeong Min Lee,Sunghun Na,Won Sun Park +12 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that dapagliflozin induced vasodilation via the activation of Kv channels and PKG, and was independent of other K+ channels, Ca2- channels, intracellular Ca2+, and the endothelium.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro screening of elastase, collagenase, hyaluronidase, and tyrosinase inhibitory and antioxidant activities of 22 halophyte plant extracts for novel cosmeceuticals
Chanipa Jiratchayamaethasakul,Yuling Ding,Ouibo Hwang,Seung-Tae Im,Yebin Jang,Seung-Won Myung,Jeong Min Lee,Hyun-Soo Kim,Seok-Chun Ko,Seung-Hong Lee +9 more
TL;DR: Findings may suggest that halophyte plants showing biological activities may be potent inhibitors of tyrosinase, elastase, collagenase, and hyaluronidase and could be useful for application in cosmeceuticals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of p53-Independent Apoptosis and G1 Cell Cycle Arrest by Fucoidan in HCT116 Human Colorectal Carcinoma Cells.
Hye Young Park,Shin-Hyung Park,Jin-Woo Jeong,Dahye Yoon,Min Ho Han,Dae Sung Lee,Grace Choi,Mi-Jin Yim,Jeong Min Lee,Do-Hyung Kim,Gi-Young Kim,Il-Whan Choi,Suhkmann Kim,Heui-Soo Kim,Hee-Jae Cha,Yung Hyun Choi +15 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the anticancer effect of fucoidan on two p53 isogenic HCT116 cell lines showed that inhibition of cell viability, induction of apoptosis and DNA damage by treatment withfucoidan were similar in two cell lines, suggesting that fuCOidan could be a possible therapeutic option for cancer treatment regardless of the p53 status.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distribution of human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells in the Alzheimer's disease transgenic mouse after a single intravenous injection.
Sang Eon Park,Na Kyung Lee,Jeong Min Lee,Jung Won Hwang,Soo Jin Choi,Hyeri Hwang,Brian Hyung,Jong Wook Chang,Duk L. Na +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that single intravenously administered hUCB-MSCs are not delivered to the brain and also do not have a significant influence on Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activin A secreted by human mesenchymal stem cells induces neuronal development and neurite outgrowth in an in vitro model of Alzheimer’s disease: neurogenesis induced by MSCs via activin A
Sang Eon Park,Sang Eon Park,Jeong Min Lee,Jeong Min Lee,Eun Hyuk Chang,Eun Hyuk Chang,Jonghwa Kim,Ji-Hee Sung,Duk L. Na,Duk L. Na,Jong Wook Chang,Jong Wook Chang +11 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that use of hMSCs and activin A to recover neurogenesis in future studies of cortical regeneration to treat AD is suggested.
