Shape Distribution of Fragments from Microsatellite Impact Tests

TL;DR: In this article, the impact data from seven micro-satellite impact tests has been collected and analyzed based on their three orthogonal dimensions, x, y, and z, where x is the longest dimension, y is the shortest dimension in the plane perpendicular to x, and Z is the long dimension perpendicular to both x and y.

A LEO Satellite Postmission Disposal Study using LEGEND

TL;DR: In this article, two postmission disposal parametric analyses based on the high fidelity NASA orbital debris evolutionary model LEGEND are presented. And the conclusion is that a prolonged spacecraft mission lifetime and a lower postmission success rate can have noticeable negative impact on the debris environment in the long run.

A proposed in situ debris measurement in GEO

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss why polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) material makes an ideal GEO debris detector and show that impacts from debris, interplanetary dust, and interstellar dust are very different in many ways.
