Christianne M. Verhaak,Jesper M. J. Smeenk,Andrea W M Evers,Jan A.M. Kremer,Floris W. Kraaimaat,D.D.M. Braat +5 more
TL;DR: In general, most women proved to adjust well to unsuccessful IVF, although a considerable group showed subclinical emotional problems, indicating that treatment-induced stress is considerably related to threats of failure.
Journal ArticleDOI
ART in Europe, 2014: results generated from European registries by ESHRE: The European IVF-monitoring Consortium (EIM) for the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
Christian De Geyter,Carlos Calhaz-Jorge,M. Kupka,Christine Wyns,Edgar Mocanu,Tatiana Motrenko,Guilia Scaravelli,Jesper M. J. Smeenk,Snezana Vidakovic,Veerle Goossens +9 more
TL;DR: A continuing expansion of both treatment numbers in Europe and more variability in treatment modalities resulting in a rising contribution to the birth rates in most participating countries is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI
A longitudinal, prospective study on emotional adjustment before, during and after consecutive fertility treatment cycles
Christianne M. Verhaak,Jesper M. J. Smeenk,A. van Minnen,Jan A.M. Kremer,Floris W. Kraaimaat +4 more
TL;DR: Most women adjusted well to unsuccessful treatment, but at follow-up, a considerable proportion still showed substantial emotional problems, which allows early identification of women at risk as well as tailored interventions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Smeenk,Mykola Gryshchenko,Richard Baranowski +61 more
TL;DR: The overall number of ART cycles has continued to increase year by year, the pregnancy rates in 2012 remained stable compared with those reported in 2011, and the number of transfers with multiple embryos (3+) and the multiple delivery rates were lower than ever before.
