Functional Mode Hot Electron Transfer Theory
TL;DR: In this article, a theory was developed to model the injection of these vibrationally excited electrons by explicitly accounting for the time-dependent thermal relaxation of the electron-transfer driving vibrational mode, as ascertained using functional mode analysis.

Jesse Y. Cai,Eoin Griffin,V. H. Guarochico-Moreira,Deborah Barry,Baifu Xin,Mehmet Yagmurcukardes,S. Zhang,Andre K. Geim,F. M. Peeters,M. Lozada-Hidalgo +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the Wien effect was observed for the common case of water dissociation (H2O) with proton-permeable graphene electrodes and strong acceleration of the reaction in fields reaching above 108 V m-1.
