TL;DR: Inflammatory markers were not used routinely after isolation precautions had been discontinued, even when ongoing care required mechanical ventilation, and standing order of labs that do not affect daily management could result in significant cost savings to the health system without adverse patient outcomes.

Implementation of Effective Smoking Cessation Strategies for People Living with HIV: A Pilot Implementation Study
TL;DR: There was a moderate increase in patients assessed for readiness to quit and who received tobacco smoking cessation counseling and treatment medications during the pilot, and primary outcome measures were increase in assessment of readiness to Quit and in providing cessation counseling.
