Asymptotically Equivalent Sequences of Matrices and Hermitian Block Toeplitz Matrices With Continuous Symbols: Applications to MIMO Systems

TL;DR: The most important results of the cited monograph are generalized to block Toeplitz (BT) matrices by maintaining the same mathematical tools used by Gray, that is, by using asymptotically equivalent sequences of matrices.
Book

Block Toeplitz Matrices: Asymptotic Results and Applications

TL;DR: This monograph is a generalization to block Toeplitz matrices of the Gray monograph entitled “Toeplitzer and circulant matrices: A review”, which was published in the second volume of Foundations and Trends in Communications and Information Theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functions of banded Hermitian block Toeplitz matrices in signal processing

TL;DR: The paper deals with the entries of functions of large banded Hermitian block Toeplitz matrices and their perturbations and results are established for general continuous functions and for analytic functions, accompanied by estimates of the convergence speed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

On Combining Distributed Joint Source-Channel-Network Coding and Turbo Equalization in Multiple Access Relay Networks

TL;DR: An iterative receiver is proposed which comprises turbo maximum a posteriori (MAP) equalization and distributed source-channel- network decoding in an iterative fashion and results show that network coding based strategy outperforms, in all cases, the other considered forwarding schemes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mass concentration in quasicommutators of Toeplitz matrices

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the algebra generated by the principal finite sections of products of multidimensional block Toeplitz operators with bounded symbols and proved that the matrices in the quasicommutator ideal of the algebra have asymptotically no mass in the interior.
