Journal ArticleDOI

C–H activation: making diketopyrrolopyrrole derivatives easily accessible

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of DPP-based π-conjugated molecules bearing diverse aryl substituents on the thiophene- or benzene-DPPs were facilely synthesized in moderate to excellent yields through the Pd-catalyzed direct arylation of C-H bonds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorinated Alq3 derivatives with tunable optical properties.

TL;DR: This communication reports that not only the emission colour but also the photoluminescence quantum yield of Alq3 can be tuned by introducing fluorine atoms at different positions; with fluorination at C-5 the emission is red-shifted with a tremendously decreased intensity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, aggregation and photoconductive properties of alkoxycarbonyl substituted perylenes

TL;DR: In this article, a series of 3,4,9,10-tetra-(n-alkoxy-carbonyl)-perylene (PTAC, n = 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) derivatives with various alkyl chains were synthesized via a simple and efficient phase-transfer catalysis method.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Improvement of electrical characteristics of fluorinated perylene diimide thin-film transistors by gate dielectric surface treatment

TL;DR: The structural and electrical properties of n-channel OTFTs based on N,N'-(4-monofluorophenyl)-3,4,9,10-perylene tetracarboxylic diimide (D4MFPP) were investigated in this article.
