Provided is an organic electroluminescence device having high luminous efficiency, high heat resistance and an extremely long lifetime. The organic electroluminescence device of the present invention includes an organic thin film layer composed of one or more layers containing at least a light emitting layer is interposed between a cathode and an anode. The light emitting layer includes a compound containing a condensed ring and a luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color. It is preferable that the compound containing a condensed ring includes a host material, while the luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color includes a phosphorescent dopant.

A light-emitting element of the present invention can have sufficiently high emission efficiency with a structure including a host material being able to remain chemically stable even if a phosphorescent compound having higher emission energy is used as a guest material. The relation between the relative emission intensity and the emission time of light emission obtained from the host material and the guest material contained in a light-emitting layer is represented by a multicomponent decay curve. The relative emission intensity of the slowest component of the multicomponent decay curve becomes 1/100 for a short time within a range where the slowest component is not interfered with by quenching of the host material (the emission time of the slowest component is preferably less than or equal to 15 μsec); thus, sufficiently high emission efficiency can be obtained.

SOLUTION: This new compound is an organic compound of formula I [X is a (substituted) arylene or heterocycle; Ar to Ar are each a (substituted) aryl containing two or more (substituted) fluorenyls], e.g. N,N,N',N'-tetra -[2-(9,9' -dimethylfluorenyl)] -2,7 -diamino-9,9-dimethylfluorene. The compound of formula I is obtained by reaction of a compound of formula II such as 2-iodo -9,9 -dimethylfluorene with a compound of formula III [Ar and Ar' are each a (substituted) fluorenyl or (substituted) aryl] such as 2,7 -diamino-9,9- dimethylfluorene in the presence of a metal catalyst such as copper. This compound of formula I is useful for manufacturing the other objective light emission devices with diversified light emission wavelength exhibiting various light emission hue.

PURPOSE: To obtain a transparent resin substrate having good flatness at low cost by using a long-length stamper comprising a flexible resin material which has a rugged pattern provided on at least one side and is longer than the outer circumference of a roll. CONSTITUTION: The resin is supplied from a hopper 6 to an extruder 5 where the resin is heated and molten, and then extruded from a T-die 4. The extruded molten resin 1 is cooled on a forming roll 2 where a long-length stamper 8 longer than the outer circumference of the roll is wound, and molded into a resin sheet 1a. In this process, the molten resin 1 is cooled and pressed as in contact with the long-length stamper 8 by the forming roll 2 and the press roll 3. Thus the resin is molded into the sheet 1a having a rugged pattern 11 transferred from the stamper 8. The resin sheet 1a with the rugged pattern 11 transferred is drawn by drawing rolls 7. PURPOSE:To prevent a charging defect by satisfactorily performing the cleaning of a contact charging device by a cleaning member. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of photoreceptor 1, the contact charging member 2 is arranged opposite thereto. The contact charging member 2 is provided with the freely rotatable fur brush 21, the spongy cleaning member 22 for removing the dirt stuck to the fur brush 21 and the core bar guide 231 for allowing the fur brush 21 to move in the vertical direction. The fur brush 21 is pressed by the cleaning member 22 with the elasticity of the sponge, as a result the fur brush 21 is abutted with the photoreceptor 1 surface. Therefore, the butting state of the fur brush 21 respectively corresponding to the photoreceptor 1 and the cleaning member 22 is the same, hence the cleaning defect caused by the fur brush 21 leaving the cleaning member 22, or inversely the charging defect caused by leaving from the photoreceptor 1 can be prevented.
