Journal ArticleDOI
"Aha!" effects in a guessing riddle task: An event-related potential study
TL;DR: High‐density event‐related potentials (ERPs) were recorded to examine the electrophysiologic correlates of insight problem solving and showed that Aha answers elicited a more negative ERP deflection than did No‐aha answers in the time window from 250–500 msec after onset of the answer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Response inhibition in adolescent earthquake survivors with and without posttraumatic stress disorder A combined behavioral and ERP study
TL;DR: The results suggest that the impairment of response inhibition in adolescent participants with PTSD is related to their impulsive cognitive functioning.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic stress exposure decreases the cortisol awakening response in healthy young men
TL;DR: Investigation of stress-sensitive endocrine responses to major examination stress serves as a good model of naturalistic chronic psychological stress in an otherwise healthy population and can lead to the decrease of CAR in healthy young men.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced mismatch negativity in adolescents with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
TL;DR: An increased sensitivity to deviant stimuli in PTSD that may reflect a chronic state of hyperarousal and hypervigilance in trauma victims is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of long-term stress on neural dynamics of working memory processing: An investigation using ERP
TL;DR: It is suggested that long-term stress has an impact on attention and the initiation of the updating process in WM.
