Journal ArticleDOI

Facile detection of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by a surface-enhanced Raman scattering sensor based on the Au coffee ring effect.

TL;DR: This portable SERS sensor based on the coffee ring effect provides a robust and versatile approach in PAH detection without the need for stringent structural requirements for Au NPs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Au nanoparticles grafted on Fe3O4 as effective SERS substrates for label-free detection of the 16 EPA priority polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

TL;DR: The synthesis and construction of Fe3O4@Au SERS substrate was completed and the detection was successfully conducted using a portable Raman spectrometer, which could be used for on-site monitoring of PAHs.
