Nonlinear magnetic susceptibility of ferrofluids

TL;DR: In this paper, the nonlinear magnetic susceptibility of ferrofluids was derived by using a Langevin model and investigated by means of perturbation expansion and an orthogonal numerical method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure of polydisperse electrorheological fluids: Experiment and theory

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure of polydisperse electrorheological fluids at low concentrations in a DC electric field was investigated, and optical microscopy reveals that the particles with polydispersity in size or in both size and dielectric property are mixed in stable single particle width chains, showing different spatial arrangement.
