We propose and analyze a scheme to enhance optomechanically-induced-transparency (OMIT) based on parity-time-symmetric optomechanical system. Our results predict that an OMIT window which does not exist originally can appear in weak optomechanical coupling and driving system via coupling an auxiliary active cavity with optical gain. This phenomenon is quite different from these reported in previous works in which the gain is considered just to damage OMIT phenomenon even leads to electromagnetically induced absorption or inverted-OMIT. Such enhanced OMIT effects are ascribed to the additional gain which can increase photon number in cavity without reducing effective decay. We also discuss the scheme feasibility by analyzing recent experiment parameters. Our work provide a promising platform for the coherent manipulation and slow light operation, which has potential applications for quantum information processing and quantum optical device.

We investigate the quantum synchronization phenomenon of the complex network constituted by coupled optomechanical systems and prove that the unknown identical quantum states can be shared or distributed in the quantum network even though the topology is varying. Considering a channel constructed by quantum correlation, we show that quantum synchronization can sustain and maintain high levels in Markovian dissipation for a long time. We also analyze the state-sharing process between two typical complex networks, and the results predict that linked nodes can be directly synchronized, but the whole network will be synchronized only if some specific synchronization conditions are satisfied. Furthermore, we give the synchronization conditions analytically through analyzing network dynamics. This proposal paves the way for studying multi-interaction synchronization and achieving effective quantum information processing in a complex network.

Quantum synchronization and quantum state sharing in an irregular complex network.

We theoretically investigate the optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) phenomenon in a hybrid optomechanical system composing of an optomechanical cavity and a traditional one. A Kerr medium is inserted in the optomechanical cavity and the other traps the atomic ensemble. We demonstrate the appearance of electromagnetically and optomechanically induced transparency when there is only Kerr medium or atoms in the system. We give an explicit explanation for the mechanism of the transparency. Moreover, we set up new scheme for the measurement of Kerr coefficient and the single atom-photon coupling strength. It is shown that Kerr nonlinearity can inhibit the normal mode splitting (NMS) when the tunnel strength is strong coupling. Furthermore, in the output field, slow light and fast light are converted to realize the tunable switch from slow light to fast light. This study has some important guiding significance in the fields of the high precision measurement and quantum information processing.

Transparency and tunable slow-fast light in a hybrid cavity optomechanical system

Enhanced entanglement and steering in PT -symmetric cavity magnomechanics

The control and measurement for resilient recovery is important for a supply network facing disruption. Outer synchronization is useful for the supply network to recover to its scheduled state. In this paper, a dynamic model for a supply network is established, and measurement with memory of resilient recovery is proposed based on outer synchronization. An impulsive controller is designed to improve the control effectiveness. Afterwards, an algorithm is adopted to identify the resilient recovery backbone. Based on these factors, an efficient resilient recovery method considering cost is applied in the case study. This study improves the measurement and control of the supply network’s resilient recovery through outer synchronization, and is easily integrated with practical problems to make better control decisions.

Control and Backbone Identification for the Resilient Recovery of a Supply Network Utilizing Outer Synchronization

This paper investigates the signal synchronization transmission among uncertain discrete networks with different nodes based on Lyapunov theorem. A novel synchronization technique and an identification law of adjustment parameter are designed. In order to testify the effectiveness of synchronization technique, laser phase-conjugate wave, Gibbs electro-optical system and Bragg acousto-optical system are taken as the nodes of the complex networks to make a simulation. It shows the synchronization technique can be applied to any network connected arbitrarily, and the network number and the number of network nodes can be selected freely.

The signal synchronization transmission among uncertain discrete networks with different nodes

We modify sliding mode control technique from the synchronization of a single dynamic system to the synchronization of complex network. Projective synchronization of uncertain scale-free network is investigated based on modified sliding mode control technique. Further, the sliding surfaces, the identification laws of uncertain parameters and the control inputs are designed, and the condition of realizing projective synchronization of uncertain scale-free network is obtained. Finally, the Logistic systems with chaotic behavior are taken as nodes to constitute the scale-free network and the synchronization target. The simulation results show that the synchronization mechanism is effective.

Projective synchronization of uncertain scale-free network based on modified sliding mode control technique

In this paper, we research the outer synchronization among discrete networks with different topologies. Based on Lyapunov theorem, a novel synchronization technique is designed. Further, the control inputs of the networks and the adaptive laws of configuration matrix element are obtained. In the end, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the synchronization technique. It is found that the designed control input of the networks ensures the convergence of the errors among the networks to zero. And the designed adaptive law of configuration matrix element can replace effectively configuration matrix element in networks.
