Influence of thermal treatment on tensile failure of basalt fibers

TL;DR: In this paper, the ultimate tensile properties of basalt fibers are investigated after tempering to the 50, 100, 200, 300 °C and the distribution of stress at break is described by the Weibull type model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanocellulose coated woven jute/green epoxy composites: Characterization of mechanical and dynamic mechanical behavior

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation and characterization of nanocellulose coated woven jute/green epoxy composites is presented. And the results revealed the improvement in tensile modulus, flexural properties and fracture toughness, except the decrease in the tensile strength, as compared to uncoated jute composite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative evaluation of fiber treatments on the creep behavior of jute/green epoxy composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the short term creep behavior of novel treated jute fabric reinforced green epoxy composites, which exhibited less creep strain than untreated one at all temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI

The boundary conditions for kinetic models

TL;DR: In this paper, the most frequently used kinetic models with respect to the boundary conditions of a rate equation are discussed, where the molar concentration of reactants is frequently replaced by the so-called degree of conversion (a) which is usually defined as 111 ~,=(c,GMGo-G) 0)
