Elektronenmikroskopische und Rastersonden-Untersuchungen des Verschleißschutzes durch Reaktionsschichten in langsam laufenden Wälzlagern
Peter Werner Gold,Silvia Richter,Thomas E. Weirich,Thomas Wolf,Jörg Loos,Anke Aretz,Helge Klaas,M. Reichelt,Joachim Mayer +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated reaction layers formed by lubricants with low wear protection and high wear protection on thrust cylindrical roller bearings made of 100Cr6 steel and found that wear protection not only relies on the reaction layer itself but also on the properties of the combined system of reaction and tribomution layer.

Curvature-mediated spin textures in magnetic multi-layered nanotubes
Elisabeth Josten,David Raftrey,Aurelio Hierro-Rodriguez,Andrea Sorrentino,Lucia Aballe,Marta Lipińska-Chwałek,Thomas Jansen,Katja Höflich,Hanno Kröncke,Catherine Dubourdieu,Daniel E. Bürgler,Joachim Mayer,Peter Fischer +12 more
TL;DR: Josten et al. as discussed by the authors presented an experimental study of the spin texture in an 8 nm thin magnetic multilayer with growth-induced in-plane anisotropy and DMI deposited onto the curved surface of a 1.8 µm long non-magnetic carbon nanowire with a 67 nm radius.
