TL;DR: This investigation contradicts the speculation that the association between this cancer and estrogen use can be explained by swifter diagnosis for estrogen users, misclassification of estrogen-related hyperplasia or treatment of early symptoms of the tumor with estrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Premature Thelarche: Natural History and Etiologic Investigation
TL;DR: Girls with premature thelarche were no more likely than control subjects to have other sexual or medical problems develop during the period of follow-up, and comparing the cases with matched control subjects showed no relationship between premature Thelarche and maternal obstetrical problems, exposure to medications, diet, or prenatal infections.

TL;DR: In this article, a case-control study of the relation between estrogen use and endometrial cancer involved 451 cases and 888 controls, finding that the overall risk was sixfold for estrogen users as compared with nonusers; long-term users (greater than five years) had a 15-fold risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review of the risk factors for endometrial carcinoma.
TL;DR: The medical literature indicates that certain constitutional factors as well as the use of exogenous estrogen are associated with an increased risk of endometrial cancer, and the greatest absolute increase in risk with estrogen use appears to occur in women with no other known risk factors for the disease.
