A system and method is disclosed for generating XSL transformation documents. A software wizard presents a series of screens to lead the user through the authoring process. The screens include a load screen, a select screen, a new entity screen, a conditional screen, and a view screen. The load screen prompts the user for an input document name. The wizard then retrieves XML entities from the input document and presents them to the user in tree form on the select screen. The user selects entities from the tree for inclusion in the output document. The new entity screen allows the user to create new entities for inclusion in the output document. These entities are accumulated in an output list. The conditional screen allows the user to make entities from the output list conditional. The view screen allows review of a tentative transformation document that will accomplish the user's purpose.

In one embodiment, tenants of business or residential properties, may connect and disconnect utilities and/or purchase other goods and services electronically via the Internet from various service providers when moving into the property.

Method and apparatus for facilitating electronic acquisition and maintenance of goods and services via the internet

The approach of displaying language-specific information in a web-browser is described. The combination of the internationalized GUI and locale-specific elements (i.e. resource bundle) is performed once before deployment of the application, and the results are cached. The approach comprises extracting contents files, creating a mapping file and then applying the new mapping file to the already processed files to create a set of web pages which are language-specific.

Tool and method for managing web pages in different languages

An application programming interface (API) for submitting a richly-formatted text selection or document to a remote machine translation server for translation is provided. A software application program, such as a word processor, requests from a redirector server, the uniform resource locator (URL) of a remote machine translation server. All formatting, images, including pictures, drawings and the like, and other data objects not requiring translation are saved in a temporary file. The word processing software application opens an instance of an Internet browser, and the Internet browser submits the text selection to the remote machine translation server via the Internet, an intranet, or other distributed computing environment. The machine translation server translates the text selection and returns the translated text selection to the Internet browser at the client level. The translated text selection is displayed as a by the Internet browser, and all formatting contained in the original pre-translated document is maintained. Images and data objects not requiring translation, and previously saved in a temporary file on the user's computer are displayed with the translated text in the same positions and order as they were in the pre-translated document.

Interface for submitting richly-formatted documents for remote processing

A method, system and program are disclosed for validating the generation of globalized versions of software programs. The directory structure of an installed software program is traversed to discover resource files containing globalized strings. The values of the globalized string and its corresponding key in the resource file are then used to generate a unique key, formatted to identify the location of the globalized string. The locale supported by the globalized string is determined and the unique key and the globalized string value are appended to a corresponding locale table. A globalized string value that causes the failure of a globalization test for a predetermined locale is identified. The corresponding locale table is then searched for the failed globalized string value. Once found, the unique key for the failed globalized string value is retrieved to identify the location of the defective globalized string and perform predetermined remedial actions.

Methods, systems, and computer program products for improving globalization of document content. A globalization model is defined which enables separating and externalizing translation-sensitive resources. A content translation expert can then operate efficiently to provide translated content, and a content designer can more easily focus on the task at hand using a resource-neutral document format. Using the disclosed techniques, translation-sensitive resources identified in a structured document can be programmatically translated by resolving references to a particular supplemental document in which the translated content for a target language has been specified.
