Grignard reagent formation from aryl halides. There is no aryl radical intermediate along the dominant reaction channel
John F. Garst,J. Ronald Boone,Lisa Webb,Kathryn Easton Lawrence,James T. Baxter,Ferenc Ungváry +5 more
TL;DR: For Grignard reagent formation from magnesium and an aliphatic halide RX in an ether solvent, a route through R is the major pathway as mentioned in this paper, and by-products of side reactions of R are formed in substantial yields.

Electron Transfer Equilibria. IV. Effects of Metal Ion and Temperature on the Disproportionation of Monoalkali Tetraphenylethylenes1,2
Journal ArticleDOI
Chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization. General solution of CKO [Closs-Kaptein-Oosterhoff] model. Applicability to reactions run in low magnetic fields
Journal ArticleDOI
Tetramethylallene and 2,4-dimethyl-1,3-pentadiene as hydrogen-atom acceptors in reactions with HMn(CO)5 and HCo(CO)4
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that tetramethylallene with HMn(CO)/sub 5/ or HCo(CO/sub 4)/sub 4/ proceed by initial hydrogen atom transfer (Scheme I), providing the first examples of such reactions of nonconjugated alkenes.
