Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Instructions on characteristics of Countermovement and Drop Jump Performance

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared a countermovement jump (CMJ) and drop jumps performed according to three objectives: maximum jump height (DJ-H), minimum contact time ( DJ-T), and maximum jump jump height/contact time ratio (DJH/t).
Journal ArticleDOI

Isometric Assessment of Muscular Function: The Effect of Joint Angle

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship between isometric measures of muscular function at two different joint angles and dynamic performance was investigated, and it was suggested that the best angle at which to assess isometric function may be the joint angle in which peak force is developed in the performance of interest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of the iso-inertial force mass relationship in the prediction of dynamic human performance.

TL;DR: The purpose of this investigation was to develop a new test of muscle function, termed the isoinertial force-mass relationship, and to determine its relationship to dynamic physical performance in comparison to an isometric test.
