Paediatric early warning systems for detecting and responding to clinical deterioration in children: a systematic review
TL;DR: Positive directional trends in improving clinical and process-based outcomes for clinically deteriorating children were highlighted and favourable outcomes were also identified for enhanced multidisciplinary team work, communication and confidence in recognising, reporting and making decisions about child clinical deterioration.

Disappearing act: COVID-19 and paediatric emergency department attendances.
TL;DR: A 73%–88% reduction in paediatric emergency department (PED) presentations has been reported during the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-2-CoV-2) pandemic, suggesting that a combination of biological, psychological and social factors influence the decisions of families to attend PED.
