Preparation of aqueous polyacrylamide solutions for enhanced oil recovery
TL;DR: In this paper, a process for converting polyacrylamide gel into dilute aqueous solutions suitable for use in secondary oil recovery is described, which is based on a slurry of small gel particles in water from which forms a homogeneous solution concentrate.

Separation of components from a reaction product mixture of water isobutyric acid and methacrylic acid by phase separation and distillations
TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of isobutyric acid, water and methacrylic acid is separated by salting out by means of a water soluble electrolyte e.g. sodium sulfate, which causes separation of aqueous and organic phases.

Manufacture of glycols
TL;DR: In this paper, a process for preparing ethylene glycol by adding about 1 mole of water, from about 0.350 to 0.490 mole of oxygen and an aqueous solution of a catalytic iodine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of iodine, hydrogen iodide, ethylene diiodide and iodoethanol was provided.

Hydrocarbon reforming catalyst
TL;DR: A hydrocarbon reforming catalyst comprising rhenium and a Group VIII noble metal, for example platinum, supported on calcined alumina is prepared by a process which comprises (i) forming an aqueous slurry of hydrated alumina, the slurry having dissolved therein a water-soluble compound of Rhenium, (ii) optionally treating the slurghy with a watersoluble ionic sulfide or ammonium sulphide, (iii) drying the slury at a temperature insufficient to cause substantial release of water of hydration from the hydrated
