Journal ArticleDOI

Tracking emissions in the US electricity system.

TL;DR: The economic input–output model is adapted to track emissions flows through electric grids and quantify the pollution embodied in electricity production, exchanges, and, ultimately, consumption for the 66 continental US Balancing Authorities (BAs).
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Ambient temperature impacts on real-world electric vehicle efficiency & range

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used real-world fleet data from the Tesla Model S and found that low-temperature penalties to vehicle efficiency are mostly confined to short-distance drives, limiting the impacts on useful range experienced by the driver.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the climate policy implications of substitutability and flexibility in the economy: An in-depth integrated assessment model diagnostic

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conduct an in-depth model diagnostic exercise for two parameters, 1) the elasticity of substitution between the capital/labour aggregate and the energy aggregate in the Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) MERGE's production function and 2) the rate at which new technologies can be deployed within the energy system.
