Journal ArticleDOI

Anti‐metrazol® efficacy of combinations of meparfynol and anticonvulsant drugs

TL;DR: The addition of meparfynol to an anticonvulsant did not cause the protective index to rise above that of the better component in the combination, and the combined drug had no effect on neurotoxicity in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pharmacological Activity of Thalicarpine

TL;DR: Direct depressant effects were seen on several smooth muscle preparations as well as reduction of spasmogenic effects induced by various drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Blood nitrite and nitrate concentration after oral and intravenous administration of glyceryl trinitrate in rabbits

TL;DR: Nitrate and nitrite blood concentrations decreased slowly after intravenous administration of glyceryl trinitrate, then fell rapidly after 60 min. after oral administration and slowly returned to control levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Method of Evaluating Local Anesthetics

TL;DR: A linear relationship was shown to exist between concentration and duration of anesthesia with procaine, Metycaine, and Nuercaine, but cocaine did not exhigit this same pattern.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of glyceryl trinitrate on extracellular fluid space of aortic strips.

TL;DR: Extracellular fluid space (ECF) was determined in untreated rabbit aortic tissue and in tissue exposed to 0.1 per cent glyceryl trinitrate, which increased the ECF space in all solutions except the magnesium-free solution.
