Quality Assurance of Engineering Education through Accreditation: The Impact of Engineering Criteria 2000 and Its Global Influence
TL;DR: The Engineering Criteria 2000 (EC2000) as discussed by the authors was developed by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and its stakeholders to encourage the development of innovative programs to reflect changing needs of practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-dimensional laminar-flow analysis, utilizing a doubly refracting liquid
John W. Prados,Fred N. Peebles +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an experimental technique for the determination of velocity distributions in two-dimensional laminar flow is described, which utilizes the optical interference patterns observed in flowing doubly refracting liquids when viewed by transmitted polarized light.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dynamics of a packed gas absorber by frequency response analysis
Robert I. Gray,John W. Prados +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the unsteady state behavior of a packed column gas absorber was investigated by comparing the results of experimental frequency response tests with theoretical frequency responses determined for several postulated flow models.
Journal ArticleDOI
The frequency response analysis of a wetted wall adiabatic humidifier
Duane F. Bruley,John W. Prados +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Birefringent and rheologic properties of milling yellow suspensions
TL;DR: In this article, a concentric-cylinder polariscope was used to measure the amount of birefringence and the angle of extinction for ten Milling Yellow dye suspensions at 25°C. for deformation rates of 50−10 sec.−1 by means of a capillary viscometer.
