Journal ArticleDOI
Repeatability of Manual Subfoveal Choroidal Thickness Measurements in Healthy Subjects Using the Technique of Enhanced Depth Imaging Optical Coherence Tomography
TL;DR: A change of >32 μm was likely to exceed interobserver variability in SFCT, and future studies are required to estimate the repeatability of SFCT measurements in patients with chorioretinal pathology.
Journal ArticleDOI
First-in-Human Trial of a Novel Suprachoroidal Retinal Prosthesis
Lauren N Ayton,Peter J. Blamey,Robyn H. Guymer,Chi D Luu,David A X Nayagam,Nicholas C. Sinclair,Mohit N. Shivdasani,Jonathan Yeoh,Mark McCombe,Robert Briggs,Nicholas L. Opie,Joel Villalobos,Peter N. Dimitrov,Mary Varsamidis,Matthew A. Petoe,Chris McCarthy,Janine G. Walker,Nick Barnes,Anthony N. Burkitt,Chris E. Williams,Robert K. Shepherd,Penelope J Allen +21 more
TL;DR: The first-in-human Phase 1 trial to investigate the use of retinal implants in the suprachoroidal space in three human subjects with end-stage retinitis pigmentosa holds promise for the field of vision restoration.
Journal Article
Choroidal Imaging in Inherited Retinal Disease Using the Technique of Enhanced Depth Imaging Optical Coherence Tomography
Jonathan Yeoh,Waheeda Rahman,Fred K. Chen,Claire Y Hooper,Praveen J. Patel,Adnan Tufail,Andrew R. Webster,Andrew R. Webster,Anthony T. Moore,Anthony T. Moore,Lyndon daCruz +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors described the in vivo choroidal changes in various retinal dystrophies using the technique of enhanced depth imaging (EDI) optical coherence tomography (OCT) and correlated these findings with the clinical appearance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Choroidal imaging in inherited retinal disease using the technique of enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography
Jonathan Yeoh,Waheeda Rahman,Fred K. Chen,Fred K. Chen,Claire Y Hooper,Praveen J. Patel,Praveen J. Patel,Adnan Tufail,Adnan Tufail,Andrew R. Webster,Andrew R. Webster,Anthony T. Moore,Anthony T. Moore,Lyndon daCruz,Lyndon daCruz +14 more
TL;DR: It appears that the extent and pattern of choroidal thinning is dependent on the stage of the disease in some cases, and in others the causative gene defect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Topographic variation and interocular symmetry of macular choroidal thickness using enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography.
Fred K. Chen,Fred K. Chen,Jonathan Yeoh,Waheeda Rahman,Praveen J. Patel,Praveen J. Patel,Adnan Tufail,Adnan Tufail,Lyndon da Cruz,Lyndon da Cruz +9 more
TL;DR: Although relative interocular difference is not significant, absolute interocular differences in CT may reach 85 μm, which has a significant influence on the CT profile.
